On Wednesday 1st or Thursday 2nd March you are invited into your child’s class from 1.15pm onwards. This is an opportunity for you to talk to the class teacher and see the progress your child has made, look at their learning journeys and to spend time playing with them in their classroom environment. If you also have any questions then the class teacher will be happy to help.
We look forward to seeing you all there.

I hope you have enjoyed reading the sentences we sent home and have been practising your blending and segmenting skills. Everyone is really progressing with their reading and we are happy you are sharing your reading books at home too!

This week we have read ‘The Jolly Postman’.
We have really enjoyed reading the different letters the postman delivers. We have written our own letter to Goldilocks and asked if we ca go to her birthday party. We are waiting to receive a letter with an answer. We all really hope we can go to the party!
Look at the picture. Where is the Jolly Postman and what is he doing?Uncategorized | Comment (0)
This week we have been sharing amounts of objects equally.
We enjoyed setting the table at the castle and sharing the food. We also pretending to be bakers and equally sharing cherries onto the fairy buns.

This week we have continued with our story telling.
We have been thinking about story endings and choosing a story ending for our own story.
Watch the story and think about
Who is the main character? (who is the story about?)
Where is the character going?
Why is the character going there?
What does Jack want?
In the middle of the story there is a problem.
What is the problem? (Why can’t he get what he wants?)
Who is the bad character?
What happens at the end?
Is it ok to take things that don’t belong to you?
What do you think Jack should do to make things better again?

We have been trying to count as far as we can.
How far can you count?
Now try and count backwards from that numbers, it will be easier to count backwards if you write the numbers with an adult first.
